Black and white long exposure photography. Also known as rainy day project with one of my sons. The harder part for the model is to keep the head in the exact same position when he removes the hand.

I built the towers separately so they can be rearranged to suit different layouts.
The main section includes the operating table and 'Lightning machine' along with some potion vials and a small generator.
The West tower features the 'Test tube room' filled with odd, bulbous sickly green tubes containing the supposed remains of victims of the Mad scientist.
The East Tower features the generator and control panel for the lightning machine.
The Southeaster had been blowing 40+knots across False Bay all night and I figured sunrise would be a good time to try to get some shots of the waves breaking over the harbour wall. We arrived in Ketchikan this morning. We only have a few hours here, so we decided not to book any tours and have been wandering around the harbour. It is a quaint town with lots of wooden buildings.
Today is the first time since boarding the Golden Princess that you can see how big the ship is from the outside (photos to come soon). I am still not sure if cruising is for me, but it is early days yet. Yesterday was spent at sea. so a quiet day - already sewn up three of my little critters.
I am feeling better - if only I could get rid of the coughing fits.
